This is a rare wood. Birdseye yellow cedar burl is native to the west coast of Canada and is highly sought after for its figure, grain and workability. There is a few superficial hair line checks on the blade. Birdseye yellow cedar without hairline checks is like finding a needle in a haystack.
Cake knife.
Blade length: 7 inches.
Total length: 10 inches long total. Hand carved. Finished with beeswax/naturoil combo.
Care instructions:
DO NOT SUBMERGE IN WATER OR SOAK.
After use, wipe down with damp soapy clothe and hand dry.
**these knives have a basic edge that will cut through most cheesecakes, brownies, pies, etc. They won't cut through spongier cakes such as angel food cake.
